I myself love George R.R. Martin's a "Song of Ice and Fire" more commonly known as HBO's "A Game of Thrones" (that is only the book one title, however!)

The series is masterfully handled. So many characters and plots you never want to put the books down.

They even made a game series! From Tell-Tale games, makers of the Game of the Year "The Walking Dead"

So what's your genre of books with a video game counterpart? Who do you like as an author?

I've read all 5 books too. It is interesting how they adapted Season 5 from the books. They made a lot of changes.

Almost too many changes. What other books do you like? What genres?

I like to read fantasy novels, have had my nose in them George RR martin Games of Thrones titles in the buildup to the new series that's currently being shown on TV.

A couple of days ago, I started Tales Before Tolkien (edited by Douglas A. Anderson), a collection of 19th and early 20th century fantasy tales by authors who preceded and influenced Tolkien. Very interesting book showing the seeds that sewed the roots for LOTR.
