The Fall of Reach Novel

I recently read the Fall of Reach which is sort of the first book on Halo lore. If you are interested in learning all about Chief, the Spartan II program and the real story of Reach than this is a must. Bungie sort of did their own thing with the story so when you read the book it is totally different. I already started First Strike and this continues the story. I plan to read all of the novels now that Halo 4 is out.

the books and the game are two completely different things

Did you find the story better than the game?

I read Lord of the Rings before seeing the movie and even though I loved the movie the books were still better.

I'm wondering if the same happened with Halo.
